Today I had the opportunity to take photos outside again, and I think I was able to get some nice photos.
Yesterday, it was supposed to have a snow storm, but instead there was freezing rain. This rain, with below 0 degrees, turned to ice and made all the roads and sidewalks slippery. Waking up this morning, December 22, I checked outside to see how it looked like. I feel like today looked more like Winter than any other Winter I experienced here.
Here’s a photo from our backyard. This is actually my favorite among all the photos I took today. Following are the other photos I took today:
As much as all of these look nice especially in person, I’d actually prefer a snow storm than rain / ice storm for several reasons:
With snow storm 1) We still get to go out and maybe play with the snow (at least for me.) 2) Snow is more safe. All you need to do is shovel and make sure you add enough salt so it won’t turn to black ice. With ice storm, it looks nice, yes, but it’s not that safe to drive and walk outside.
But I guess that still depends on the person. But for me, this is I guess a good experience (?) because I haven’t really seen something like this before (except for movies or pictures I guess.)
What do you think?
